Name your video with your candidate # and put it in the SAME FOLDER AS YOUR PAPER FOR PROPER UPLOADING LATER
PAPER FORMATTING:
PREP: When you are ready to write your Solo Theatre Piece Paper make sure you:
Have your EDITED video on hand to help you write your later section and so that you can reference time codes on your video in your paper (for instance, if you are talking about a particular part of your performance, you can reference the time code in the video for the assessor's convenience - this is not required, but it make assessment easier for the assessor and is good practice).
HAVE YOUR RUBRICS ON HAND to check your work as you write
Have your notes and images for each section
Make sure you have your sources for any work that you are using that is not yours - CITE YOUR SOURCES, including using *** in-text citing***
Have a cited works page
LAYOUT STEP #1: Make a cover page with:
HL Solo Theatre Piece
May 2022 session
Title of your piece
Number of WORDS (limit is 3,000, there is no lower limit)
Your candidate number
LAYOUT STEP #2: Make a Table of Contents Page that has these subheadings:
1. The theorist, the selected aspect's theory and the contexts..... ............................................. pages 1-3
2. Practical explorations, performance and production intentions and development of the performance
and production of the solo theatre piece pages..... ......................................................................pages4-7
3. Evaluation of the solo theatre piece and the implications this has on my work in theatre .....pages 8-10
LAYOUT STEP #3: Write you paper in the order of your Table of Contents (though if you want to write sections out of order and then put them together in the right order, you can do this)
LAYOUT STEP #4: Number your pages and add those page numbers to your Table of Contents
LAYOUT STEP #5: Add a SEPARATE cited works page at the end of your Solo Paper
PROOFREAD EVERYTHING & CHECK YOUR WORK AGAINST THE RUBRICS BEFORE YOU TURN YOUR PAPER IN.
