The Dover School Committee is an elected group of five Dover residents, each serving a three year term. Its task each year is to review the budget and allocate funds to areas such as personnel, curriculum, materials, and building operations. The School Committee works closely with administrators to develop a budget and school policies that reflect a vision of and commitment to excellence in education. As such, part of the committee’s focus is to update existing policies, and to propose and approve new policies when the need arises. The School Committee typically meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Chickering School library and welcomes comments from the community at the beginning of each meeting. A list of School Committee members as well as meeting agendas and minutes can be found on the Chickering school website.
