Recess Expectations

Play nicely with all children: No pushing or hitting and no cruel words.

Listen to the recess teachers: They know the rules that will keep you safe.

Use the playground equipment safely: No jumping off the bridge; go down the slide one at a time, feet first; no going up the slide; no jumping off of the swings.

Use the fields for ball playing and running games: No bouncing balls against the building and no running in the playground equipment area.

Stay in the playground area: No going into the woods.

Listen for the bell: Line up quickly and quietly and enter the building in silence.

You must act responsibly so recess is enjoyable and safe for everyone. This way we can avoid serious accidents.

Improper behavior can result in missing recess, being separated from the group, being talked to by the student’s teacher and/or sent to the principal. Parents/guardians may be notified.
