Grade 6 MYP Design Units
Unit 1 - Conceptual Poster: Students will research the UN Millennium Development Goals (MDG) and from the research will create a conceptual poster highlighting one of the goals.

Unit 2 - Infographics: Based on research from unit 1, students will use vector a graphic software to design an info graphic helping fellow students visualize MDG data.

Unit 3 - Stop Animation: Using cameras, phones, iPads or any device that suits students will create a short Stop Motion Animation.

Unit 4 - Interactive Story/Game: Using Scratch students will create an interactive story or a computer game related to a story they have read in English class

Unit 5 - Fly Away: This is a materials unit where we look at kite design allowing students to design and construct their own unique kit and test it.

Unit 6 - Video Unit: Using any video editing software students will create a video tutorial based on a school related topic (last year it was an introduction the “ISU Leopards Trail”)

Unit 7 - Modelling: Students will create a financial spreadsheet model based on the school event / production.

Unit 8 - Bag Tags: Students will design a unique plastics name tag for their school bag / laptop
