Now that you have explored the options available for EV3 LegoMindstorm in App Inventor, you have to learn how to build using App Inventor. This should not take you long since you should be familiar with App Inventor from last year and some basic coding concepts from our Coding Unit. Make sure each of you are doing the trial codes on your own computers so if someone is absent, you will have the code to still run.
Log into ai2.appinventor.mit.edu and explore the program.
Please have a team member get your assigned device.
View the tutorial on how to create an EV3PetRobot (begin at p. 5). Complete each task by READING the text, not just copying the blocks. Remember, the goal is to learn the program while seeing what it is capable of doing, not to simply complete the assignment.
Take the video of you using the remote to move the robot in all four directions (if you have the Scorpion, it will not go left or right. Just take the video of forward and backward). Be sure to include a shot of your completed App Inventor code in the video.
When you are finished videoing, upload the video to one person's drive from the 'FILES' (go to your Drive, click UPLOAD, choose FILES and search for your video).
When you are finished, go to Google Classroom, click on Robotics Project Topic and find the Practice assignment. Link the video and submit. Move on to your Final Project.
