New B.A.S.E. Family Orientation

Welcome to the WME B.A.S.E. Program! We have comprised a list of helpful tips and frequently asked questions that will get you and your child ready for B.A.S.E.

Important things to remember on your first day…..

- We are located in the WME Cafeteria on the backside of the school near the bus loop.

- You must walk your child into B.A.S.E. and check them in and out on our ipads.

- Each parent and authorized pick up has a unique pin that they need to use when checking your child in and out. If you need help finding your pin please click here.

- Please bring your ID with you for the first couple of times until we get to know you.

- Authorized individuals need to be 18 years or older to drop off or pick up your child.

- Please notify of any medications your child may have prior to them attending. We will need the proper forms filled out and medication on hand.


Payments and Calendars

- Calendars for B.A.S.E. are due the Wednesday prior to the week you need care. You can still sign up after this time but a $2 fee per child per session charge will be added.

- You can use the unscheduled or drop-in option if you need care the day of. We do ask that you notify us first to confirm that we have space. In this case, a $4 fee per child per session will be added for before and after school, and a $5 fee will be added for all full days.

- Signup and Payments are done through the SchoolCare Works parent portal.

- We do close at 6:00pm daily and any child pick up after this time will be automatically charged a $1 fee per minute per child. This will be billed to your SchoolCare Works account.

- We do not offer sick day credits or allow you to switch days once they are submitted through SchoolCare Works.

Things to Remember

- Please notify us if your child is signed up and will not be attending their B.A.S.E. session. Failure to do so will require us to contact you to confirm the whereabouts of your child. In the instance that we are unable to reach you regarding the whereabouts of your child, we may contact the authorities to ensure their safety.

- We do provide a morning and afternoon snack, but we do encourage parents to pack extras for students.

Student Information

- Our kids’ advisory team has created a video to help students get to know B.A.S.E. better. Click here.

- Students can only bring technology on designated before and after school days. They also may bring it on all full days to use during our technology time.

- Students must ask teacher to go to specific areas including bathrooms.

- We ask that they be respectful and follow the P.R.I.D.E. expectations of WME.

- Students are not allowed in the teacher closet as well as the snack and craft cabinets.

- WME B.A.S.E. follows the same playground rules the school does.

- Students may eat their own snack at any time, but these snacks need to be eaten at a snack table.

- We do not have any restrictions on what a student can bring for lunch. We do have a designated peanut free table during our lunch time on full days.

- At WME B.A.S.E. we encourage students to solve problems for themselves. However, in instances where they need help or feel unsafe we ask that they do bring these to our attention so we can offer them support with these issues.
