Need some helpful ideas over this long break? This page will help get some ideas flowing to keep your kids busy!
Each week we will keep you updated on a variety of different topics and teach your more about our staff and families. This week will be about Mr. Tim!
I hope all is well and you are staying healthy! Me and my family are enjoying our time together at our home in Castle Rock. Our 1 and half year old son Harrison keeps us really busy! We spend most of the time chasing him around but we are grateful for the time we get with him. My wife Brittany also works a Program Manager for B.A.S.E. but at Northridge Elementary. We miss our B.A.S.E. kids and families and hope to get back to it soon. What I miss the most is our gym times and different games we get to play! I also miss walking by B.A.S.E. kids and them frantically waving at me the hallway as I pass by during school time. We are going to continue to work and get parents ideas and do our best to connect with students and families. We appreciate our WME community and please reach out to us if you need anything!
We are looking for help with our field trip shirt design. This design will not just be for the summer but all field trips moving forward. It must have a font and back design as well as "WME B.A.S.E." or "Wildcat Mountain B.A.S.E." Please submit all design ideas to tim.musser@dcsdk12.org
What you will need:
These flower stamps are so easy. It’s just a matter of cutting some petals into the top third of your toilet roll and then spreading the petals out. Dunk the petals into some paint and stamp them onto your page. If you’re not comfortable with using old toilet rolls, don’t worry. You can still buy new cardboard craft rolls from Amazon instead.
Add some yellow paper circles into the middle of the flowers. You can also just use a marker or... the yellow center is a fantastic opportunity for some finger painting.
What you will need:
First cut out four connected containers from the egg carton. Trim around the edges so that it gives it a rounder shape for the petals of the flower.
Squirt some paint colors onto a paper plate and have the kids paint their flowers. Use any colors you’d like.
After the paint’s dried you can attach the stem of the flower by gluing it to the back. Use a paper straw (or popsicle stick) so that it was thick enough to hold up the egg carton. If you use something like a pipe cleaner it will just bend. Next choose a colored pom pom(or crumpled tissue paper) and glue that to the center of the painted egg carton.
What you will need:
First - Cut a 1 or 2 inch strip of paper
Second - Fold in ½
Third - Fold each half in half again
Fourth - Round edges with scissors
Fifth - Draw a face on Worm
Sixth - Get a straw and blow
What you will need:
First - Put tape in any design on pape
Second - Using paints, paint each section
Third - Once it is dry, remove tape
Forth - Hang up!
What you will need:
1) Cut the bottom of a water bottle off
2) Use something with holes
Example: netting off fruit
Show cap etc.
3) Dip the open end of water bottle into a soap mixture
4) Blow bubbles thru the hole you would drink thru.
5) HAVE FUN!!
