Q: What does the B.A.S.E. Program stand for?

A: Before and After School Enterprise.

Q. What does the Wildcat Mountain Elementary B.A.S.E. Program offer?

A: We offer Before School, After School, Full Day (during In-Service Days and Fall/Spring Break), and Summer Programs.

Q: Who can attend the B.A.S.E. Program?

A: Any child who goes to Wildcat Mountain Elementary that is a minimum of 5 years, 0 months and maximum 13 years, 0 months of age to attend may register for the program. Children who are four years old and eligible to enter kindergarten for the current school year may access the program no earlier than the first day of kindergarten class. Children outside of Wildcat Mountain may also attend as long as a copy of immunization records are on file.

Q: How do I sign-up for B.A.S.E.

A: Please click on the WME B.A.S.E Registration tab on at the top to fill out all the necessary paperwork to complete online.

Q: When are calendars due?

A: Payment calendars during the school year are due the Wednesday prior to the week you need service. These will need to be filled out online. You may sign up after the Wednesday prior if space is available.

Q: Is there a required number of days my child must attend?

A: There is NOT a minimum number of days to attend if they go to the Before, After, or Full/Summer Programs

Q: I have 2 children who will attend B.A.S.E. Do I get a discount?

A: There is not a discount for Before and After School sessions. There is a 10% discount for for each additional child on full days.

Q: How do I pay for B.A.S.E.?

A: Payments are due the Wednesday prior to the week you need service through School Care Works.

Q: Are drop-ins available?

A: If you are currently enrolled in the WME B.A.S.E. program drop-ins are available if space is available. Please check with the Program Manager or Assistant Program Manager to ensure space.

Q: Do you offer care when the school is closed?

A: We run a "Full-Day Program" on all but one In-Service Days, Fall Break, Spring Break, Winter Break and in the Summer. Closures will be posted in the Parent Handbook (handed out when you register for the B.A.S.E. Program).

Q: What do you do during these Full-Day Programs? A: We take numerous field trips which include swimming, movies, going out to eat, etc. The rest of the day we do crafts, go outside, play in the gym, and use the computer lab. The kids are never bored!

Q: My child will need to take medication during the B.A.S.E. hours. How does that process work?

A: Medication can be given by a trained B.A.S.E. staff member ONLY if we have the Medication Release or Inhaler Permission forms located on our web site under Printable Documents. Without these forms we are unable to give or provide medication. The medication will be stored in the Director's office (not in the nurse's office). If your child needs medication during normal school hours, please contact the front office.
