GENETICALLY PREDISPOSED: to have a tendency do something because of one’s genes.
CUMULATIVE: increasing or growing through successive additions
STATIC: showing little or no change
DIFFUSION: when something spreads in all directions
ETHNOCENTRISM: viewing and judging all cultures through the perspective of one’s own; perceiving one’s own culture as superior to all others
ANTHROPOLOGIST: someone who studies other cultures
CULTURAL RELATIVISM: viewing all cultures non-judgmentally; to see each culture as unique in its attempt to solve the problems of being human
POLYGAMY: marriage in which a spouse of either sex may have more than one mate at the same time
GLOBALISM: a policy, outlook, etc. that is worldwide in scope.
TRIBALISM: a strong sense of identifying with and being loyal to one's tribe, group, etc.
