The Ice Harbor Scholastic Chess Tournament strives to provide an experience for the student and their family that meets or exceeds the standards of a national scholastic chess tournament. As such, we have adopted the most current version of the United States Chess Federation’s “National Scholastic Chess Tournament Regulations.” Not all of these USCF Regulations apply to this tournament, though, as many of the sections in the USCF regulations apply to specific national events including dates, lodging, transportation, financing, publicity, and entry fees, which are not pertinent to the playing standards of the tournament. Those applicable sections of the USCF Regulations are consolidated into this document for ease of use by the tournament participants. We have retained the same numbering system from the USCF Regulations so that the reader may refer back to those regulations more readily. Any additions or changes to the USCF Regulations adopted solely for the Ice Harbor Tournament are specifically highlighted within the text.
