2014 Ice Harbor Scholastic Open with Bughouse, Chess960, & Parents/Friends side events. Grand River Center & Grand Harbor Resort and Water Park, 500 Bell Street, Dubuque IA 52001. A weekend Scholastic Open Tournament with Five Sections: Grades K-3 Open, K-6 Open, K-6 U800, K-12 Open, and K-12 U1200 with 80 Individual trophies, 15 Team x 3 players (45 total), 20 Chess960, & 30 Bughouse trophies. TROPHIES (Main Event): Top 10 Individuals Overall all sections; K-3 Open Top 2 U600, U300, & UNR; K-6 Open Top 3 U1200 & U1000; K-6 U800 Top 2 U600, U300 & UNR; K12 Open Top 3 U1600 & U1400; K-12 U1200 Top 2 U900, U600, and UNR. Top 3 teams in each section (plaques for each player). RDS: K-3 Open, K-6 U800 & K-12 U1200: 7 SS, G/45 d5, Sat 10, 12:30, 2:30, 4:30 pm, Sun 9:00, 11:00, 1:30; 3 byes available w/registration. K-6 & K-12 Open, 5SS, G/75 d5, Sat 10, 1:30, 4:30, Sun 9, 12:30; 2 byes available w/registration. TEAMS: Sum of top 3 players’ scores from same school/club by section (cannot count teammates from other sections). EF: $45 if postmarked/online by 4/17, $50 by 5/7, $55 after 5/7 or on site.
