1st Sergeant

a. Serves as a liaison between flight leadership and Sq CC

b. Assists Sq CCs with command of the Squadrons

c. Advises Sq CCs on morale and discipline of cadets within the squadrons

d. Provides recommendations to the Sq CCs

e. Oversees the Merit/Demerit program

f. Responsible for conduct, discipline, dress, and appearance of the Squadron

g. Trains potential replacement

h. Manages for the Groups/CD the unit’s self-assessment program

i. Oversees all the support functions for the Group

j. Logistics, Information Management, Public Affairs, Recruitment and Retention,

   Community Outreach, Facilities, Academic, Technology, etc.

k. Loads and facilitates the following data into WINGS:

l. Goals

m. Unit Roster at the beginning of each semester

n. Class Roster at the beginning of each semester

o. Removal of individuals who have dropped the AFJROTC program
