My name is Erica Hawes and I am the School Counselor for students in grades 10th-12th, whose last name starts with M-Z. This is my fourth year at South Caldwell High School and I am excited to be here! I attended Appalachian State University for both my undergraduate and graduate studies, where I received a Bachelors of Science (B.S.) degree in Child Psychology and a Masters of Art (M.A.) degree in Professional School Counseling. I also have my Advanced degree in Professional School Counseling and am working on becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor.
My goal is to help all students in the areas of academic achievement, personal/social development and career development. Adolescents face unique and diverse challenges throughout their high school experience, both personally and developmentally, that have an impact on their academic achievement. High school is the final transition into adulthood and I aim to assist students during this time in exploring their options for the future.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at ehawes@caldwellschools.com. I look forward to continue working at South Caldwell this year!
