College Foundation of North Carolina (CFNC) is a free service of the State of North Carolina that helps students plan, apply, and pay for college. CFNC is a partnership of Pathways, the N.C. State Education Assistance Authority, and College Foundation, Inc. Prospective students can research colleges, find sources of financial aid, & get information on planning for college, applying for college, & paying for tuition.

The Community Foundation is a nonprofit organization established in 1978 to build a permanent pool of charitable capital for the 18 counties of Western North Carolina. They work with individuals, families and corporations to create and manage charitable funds and make grants to nonprofits or public agencies in our region. In partnership with fundholders, the Foundation has awarded more than $198 million in scholarships to students and grants to nonprofit organizations and public institutions across our 18-county region and beyond.

Foundation For The Carolinas manages numerous scholarship funds that provide grants to help students achieve their educational goals. Grants are available for students attending public and private institutions at graduate and undergraduate levels, as well as for private K-12 schools. Foundation For The Carolinas currently administers 148 scholarship programs. In 2016, the Foundation awarded more than $1.8 million in scholarships to over 900 students.

The NCCF is the single statewide community foundation serving North Carolina and has made more than $145 million in grants since its inception in 1988. With more than $270 million in assets, NCCF sustains 1,300 endowments established to provide long-term support of a broad range of community needs, nonprofit organizations, institutions and scholarships. The NCCF partners with a network of affiliate foundations to provide local resource allocation and community assistance across the state. An important component of NCCF’s mission is to ensure that rural philanthropy has a voice at local, regional and national levels.

The Education Foundation Inc. of Caldwell County is a nonprofit organization that secures funds, distributes resources, and increases support for the public schools which broaden and strengthen the educational experiences of the county’s students and educators.

Students can find scholarships and grants that match their age, major, and interests. Students can also find internships, materials on career planning, and general finance information.
