About

What is the PTO?

The PTO is a partnership made up of parents and teachers for the purpose of supporting Broadus Wood Elementary School. It is committed to ensuring the best possible educational experience for our students and serves as a forum for communication of ideas about the long-term success of our school. From building community through events like the Back-to-School picnic and Skate Nights, to sponsoring educational opportunities for our children via field trips and assemblies, the PTO seeks to ensure that every child’s experience at Broadus Wood is stimulating, nurturing, successful, and hopefully, fun.

The PTO is made up of volunteers. All parents, guardians, teachers, and staff at Broadus Wood are automatically members of the organization and are welcome and encouraged to attend PTO meetings and events. We cannot do the things we do without the support of our families.

When Does the PTO Meet?

PTO meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:30 pm in the library. All are welcome. Please click on the PTO Meetings tab to find agendas and minutes for the meetings.

How Can You Become Involved?

We encourage all families at Broadus Wood to play an active role in their children’s education. There are many opportunities to become involved. Even a single hour can make a huge difference. Whether you would like to assist in the classroom or help out for an event, your child wins when you get involved. We can match your time and talents to the activity or event that suits your schedule.
