Welcome to the Broadus Wood PTO! The PTO is a non-profit organization of all parents, guardians, and staff at Broadus Wood and our mission is to foster the best educational experience possible for our students. We strive to do this through a variety of ways. We fund field trips and assemblies, hold after school and evening events, and purchase items to improve facilities and instruction. We also work to facilitate communication among staff and families and provide a forum to discuss long-term plans for the school.
School Supplies
Once again, the PTO has decided to purchase the school supplies and ask every family to pay a supply fee. Providing the supplies in this way not only saves time and money for you, it makes classroom management much easier for the teachers. This year the supply fee will be $30 per child.
Checks may be made payable to BWESPTO. We are working on adding a PayPal link to our webpage but in the meantime our PayPal email is Treasurer@bwespto.org.
While school supplies are an expected expense, we understand that some of our families are facing challenging situations and may not be able to cover the supply fee and for this reason scholarships are available.
Communications
The PTO communicates with families in several ways. Make sure you are connected!
1. The Bobcat Bulletin. This is our weekly newsletter. To make sure you receive this, simply sign up at this link.
2. BWESNewsOnline. This is our e-mail listserv, which we primarily use for reminders and other announcements. To sign up, click on this link.
