You will choose a person a conduct some research on them. You will then write 1 paragraph about this person and why they are important, and then use Adobe Voice to create a video about the person and why they are important.
ÿ Step 1: Download Adobe Voice if you do not already have it
ÿ Step 2: Choose a person to research from the list below:
o Cesare Beccaria - Criminal Punishment
o Sir Francis Bacon - Reasoning
o Mary Wollstonecraft - Women's Rights
o John Comenius – Education
o Olympe de Gouges - Women's Rights
ÿ Step 3: Using the internet or an encyclopedia, collect information on your person to answer the research questions on the back of this sheet.
o Some of these questions you will be able to find in your research – others you will need to think about and answer on your own
o All of your notes and writing must be IN YOUR OWN WORDS. If you are having trouble putting it in your own words, please ask an adult for some help
o You must explain things in a way that would be easy for your friends to understand
ÿ Step 4: Using the notes you created, you will type up your information into 1 paragraph, following the order of your notes
o Make sure you include lots of concrete facts, and that you explain their importance
o Once you have finished your paragraph, show it to your teacher so that they can review it with you and maybe make changes
ÿ Step 5: Create an Adobe Voice project with your script
o You will read each of your sentences one by one into Adobe Voice
o You will choose a picture that matches with each of your sentences – you can choose a picture from Adobe Voice, or you can choose a picture from the internet
o Once you have recorded your project and chosen all of your pictures, you will watch it once through
o After you are satisfied with your project, you will email it to your teacher!
