August 21st - Classroom organization and go through the course expectations. Homework: Be sure that you fill out the online survey page.

August 22nd - Begin notes / discussion over Chapter 1 Section 1. Homework: Read Chapter 1. Complete the lab safety pages that have been posted on Classroom for tomorrow!

August 23rd - Continue with notes/discussion over Chapter 1, and begin the first part of the microscope lab.

August 26th - Continue with and complete notes over Chapter 1 . Be sure to read over the corresponding Chapters in the text in preparation for an exam on Friday! Continue with the microscope lab from Friday, and hand in your work at the end of the period.

August 27th - Complete notes over Chapter 1 and begin Sections 2-1 and 2-2. Read sections 2-1 and 2-2 in the text in preparation for an exam on Friday of this week. Homework: Complete the Practice tests on classroom for tomorrow. Continue reviewing your notes in preparation for the exam.

August 28th - Complete notes over Chapter 2, sections 1 & 2. Go over the practice test and any questions you have in preparation for Friday's test. STUDY!

August 29th - Go over the review study guide for the exam. Your exam over Chapter 1 and sections 2-1 & 2 is tomorrow! STUDY and see me with any questions!

August 30th - TEST - Chapter 1, sections 2-1,2. We will begin Chapter 3 on Tuesday.

September 4th - Lab: We will go outside to collect our soil samples for our ecology lab that we will do next week.

September 5th - Sub Today in the afternoon - You will work on the Food Chain / Food Web lab, and hand in any incomplete work tomorrow. We will continue with Chapter 3 tomorrow!

September 6th - Continue with notes over Chapter 3, sections 1 and 2. Plan on a test over Chapters 3 & 4 sometime late next week or early the week after.

September 9th - Continue with the second step of the Ecology Lab. We will continue with the third step of the lab on Wednesday.

September 10th - Continue with notes/discussion over Chapter 3, section 3. Keep up with your readings in the text! Homework: Complete the section 3-3 review on Page 78, #1-3.

September 11th - Complete work on the Ecology Lab - Read your plates and answer the four questions at the end of the lab. We will begin notes over Chapter 4 tomorrow!

September 13th - Continue with notes over chapter 4, sections 1 & 2. Homework: Continue reading over the corresponding sections in the text in preparation for your exam which will be on Wednesday! Complete the lab that is posted on Classroom for Monday - Nutritional Relationships in a Community.

September 16th - Continue with notes over chapter 4, sections 2 & 3. Homework: Read over the sections we have covered in class.

September 17th - Continue with and conclude notes over Chapter 4, section 3. Your exam is tomorrow! STUDY!

September 18th - TEST Chapters 3&4! We will begin notes over Chapter 5 tomorrow.

September 23rd - Continue with notes over chapter 6, section 2. Your exam over Chapters 5 & 6 will be on Thursday! Do not forget that your lab is due tomorrow! STUDY!

September 24th - Complete notes over Chapter 6. Complete the review questions, #1-4, for section 6.2. Your test is on Thursday!

September 25th - Work on review questions in the text: Pages 148-49, #1-9,11-16,22-26 & Pages 182-83, #1-4,8-13,17-25. Review for tomorrow's exam. STUDY!

September 26th - TEST Chapters 5&6! We will begin Biochemistry, Sections 2-3 & 4 tomorrow!

September 30th - Continue with notes over section 2-3. Continue reading the material in your text and reviewing your notes! Complete the Counting Atoms worksheet that is posted on Classroom for tomorrow.

October 1st - Continue with notes over sections 2-3,4 and go over the packet pages you worked on yesterday. Continue practicing with Dehydration Synthesis and Hydrolysis on your own!

October 2nd - Sub Today - Complete the Biochem webquest that is posted on classroom. Be sure to submit via Classroom before class tomorrow!

October 3rd - Continue with notes over sections 2-3,4 and work on classroom pages dealing with Dehydration synthesis and hydrolysis. We will go over the packet pages tomorrow! Plan for a test over the material on Wednesday/Thursday of next week!

October 4th - Continue with notes over Organic Chemistry and begin section 2-4. Continue going over the practice pages in the lab packet, which we will go over on Monday.

October 7th - Complete notes over section 2-3,4. Go over any questions you have regarding the material. Your exam over this material will be on Wednesday!

October 8th - Go over the review/study guide for tomorrow's exam. Go over the end of section review questions in preparation for the exam, as well as some sample problems. Study!

October 9th - TEST - Organic Chemistry.

October 14th - Continue with notes over Chapter 7, section 2. Be sure that you are reviewing this material as we lead up to the exam! Plan on an exam on Wednesday of next week!

October 15th - Sub Today - Continue with notes over Chapter 7, section 3. Be sure that you are reviewing this material in preparation for the exam next week!

October 16th - No Classes -TEST Day

October 17th - Sub Today - Complete notes over Chapter 7, section 3. Plan on an exam over this material on Wednesday/Thursday of next week. This will be your last major grade before the end of the quarter. Begin the first step of the egg osmosis lab. Homework: Complete the assignment that is on Classroom, which is linked through Edulastic. Pay attention to the due date and time of this assignment (2:30 PM on Friday), as late work will not be accepted!

October 18th - Sub Today - Work on the Cell Diagram packet that was distributed by the sub. This packet will be due on Monday! Also, do not forget to complete the cell assignment that is posted on Classroom by 2:30 today! Plan on your exam next week on Wednesday/Thursday!

October 21st - Complete the membrane diffusion lab on Classroom. All work for this lab is due tomorrow! Complete step two of the egg lab. Your exam over Chapter 7 will be on Wednesday!

October 22nd - Complete step three of the egg lab, and make observations. Be sure that you are noting your observations each day on the lab document. Go over the review for tomorrow's exam, and work on the practice questions in the text on pages 220-21, #1-1-12, 14-21, 23-27.

October 23rd - TEST Ch. 7 - Cells.

October 24th - Begin notes over Chapter 8 - Photosynthesis, section 1. Read over Chapter 8! Complete the final phase of the egg lab. Be sure that you have documented all of your observations and measurements on the lab worksheet that is on classroom, as it is due completed on Monday!

September 19th - Sub Today - Complete the Population Webquest that is on the Website and submit by the end of the period through classroom.


Go over some of the Dehydration synthesis and hydrolysis worksheets on packet pages 59-62. Homework: 7th period: Complete the first and second pages of the assignment that was posted on classroom for Monday.


October 2nd - Work on completing the 2-3, 2-4 review worksheets that are posted on classroom. We will go over these at the end of the period.

October 3rd - Sub Today - Complete the online packet Biochemistry Worksheets on classroom for tomorrow.

October 4th - Go over the homework packet from yesterday, and continue with notes. Also, work on the section 2-3,4 review problems that are in your text for homework! Your exam will be on Monday!

October 9th - Sub Today - Read over Chapter 7 and Complete the worksheets that are posted on Classroom.


October 11th - Sub Today - Complete the cell concept map that is posted on Classroom and hand in on Tuesday. We will begin notes/discussion over Chapter 7 on Tuesday.


October 17th - Continue with notes over Chapter 7. Begin the first step of the egg lab in class.

Continue with notes over Chapter 7. Your lab is due completed on Monday!

Begin working on the Microscope lab on packet pages 18-23, which will be due tomorrow if you did not complete it in class. Homework:

October 17th - Complete the comparing plant and animal cells lab and hand in for tomorrow.

October 12th - Complete the measuring with the microscope lab in class.

October 18th - Quiz over sections 7-2 & 3. Continue with the next step of the egg lab and work on the comparing plant and animal cells lab on packet pages 69-72.
