EOCs

As of Spring 2015, the following End-of-Course Assessments are required for all public-school students enrolled in and completing the following courses:

• NGSSS Biology I

• NGSSS Civics

• NGSSS U.S. History

• FSA Algebra I (Graduation Assessment Requirement - See Graduation! tab)

• FSA Geometry

EOC results required to count as 30% of final student course grade...with a small exception: The Spring 2015 FSA Algebra II and Geometry results will not be figured in to Bay District School student's grade per our superintendent.

End-Of-Course Assessments are computer-based tests designed to measure student achievement of the Next Generation Sunshine State Standards for specific middle- and high-school level courses, as outlined in their course descriptions. The Algebra 1 EOC Assessment was administered for the first time in May 2011; the Biology 1 and Geometry EOC Assessments will be administered for the first time in May 2012; the U.S. History EOC Assessment was administered for the first time in 2013; and the Civics EOC Assessment will be administered to seventh graders for the first time in 2014. The Geometry EOC (NGSSS) was administered for the last time during Winter 2014 administration. Spring 2015 was the first time students were offered Florida Standards EOCs. The validity study concluded September 1, 2015; the FSA is VALID.
