This course focuses on how effective marketing and promotion strategies, including advertising, merchandising, analytics and social media marketing, are applied to various aspects of the sports business industry. Students will examine the unique dynamics, structure, delivery systems and marketing strategies that shape the success of sporting events, teams, and facilities, and the economic relationship they have within the community. Emphasis will be placed on planning and strategic development.
