CERAMICS

In this course, you will explore clay through a series of projects designed to increase your hand-building and surface design skills. You will experiment with slab building, coil building and pinch building techniques to create functional and sculptural artworks. You will learn how to use texture and glaze to enhance the surface of your work. Originality, self expression and design utilizing the elements and principles of art will be emphasized in all artworks. You will be required to keep a sketchbook for research, sketching and reflection.
