Important information:
The team summer workshop will be held July 29th-August 1st, from 10am to 2pm each day, lunch will be provided. This is where we’ll learn our welcome assembly number.
Our parent information meeting will be held on Monday, August 26th at 5pm. One parent per student is required to attend this meeting, students are also welcome to attend. This is where I’ll go over the schedule for the year and talk about class requirements.
Special routines (such as seniors only, advanced auditioned routines, etc.) will be available to participate in before school on A days starting at 7:30am. I’ll update the kids when these are available to them. The week of and before the concert there will be a few days where everyone is required to come early.
As soon as the dates for concerts and competitions are set I will send out an email, and also update our website schedule section.
Students are expected to participate in one team fundraiser benefiting the ballroom department each year. Other fundraisers for things such as personal tour funds will also be available.
Waivers:
The transportation and media release waiver and the insurance waiver both need to be signed and returned by the end of August, the students will receive these on the first day of school.
Attendance and Participation Policy
Because this is a participation based class, students may still receive credit for 3 EXCUSED absences each term. After those 3 absences there will be required make-up work due for each additional absence. Each class day is worth 10 points, and if any student isn’t participating in class they may lose points for the day.
