lET'S SEE WHAT THE students were UP TO THIS Spring!

Tuesday- Art with Courtney and Maliyah

Devin is focused and determined working on his canvas where he attached his tape to his canvas in a geometric pattern. He had to make sure to press down the tape securely onto the canvas to keep paint from leaking through.

What a super art activity! A fun way to experiment with colors, shapes, and patterns, and another fine piece of homemade art for our students to take home and hang in their bedrooms.

Wednesday-Mental Health with Brea and Caroline

We want to make sure that our students are staying mentally and physically healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic. This Spring, we are using positive interventions that can support their progress and help them feel more confident about themselves.

We are always looking for social skills activities to preserve and support the self-esteem of our students that we care for. This Self-Esteem Social Skills Activity is a winner. Our students had so much fun with this activity and when we saw what they made we wanted one for ourselves!

Thursday- Science/Summer Apprenticeship Training with Academic Outreach

Ms. Ruth and her team keep us busy! They introduce our students to an array of Science experiments to replicate in our summer camp apprenticeship program. Our students learn the skills to facilitate science experiences to younger students using the scientific method process.

In this experiment, students are learning to make clay from scratch!
