Summer 2023 Cohort: High Achiever Support Staff at Oak Hill Middle School

Youth who participate in the program year-round are automatically eligible to ​apply​ for the summer apprenticeship program. They are subjected to year-long training in addition to “apprenticeship training.” Cohort members are ​not guaranteed​ a position at camp however if they are accepted, they are eligible to earn approximately $500 for participating in the apprenticeship program. The summer program is a 4-week experience where youth will serve in support roles and facilitate an elementary youth camp program or be mentored by and work with a professional at a local business.  Participants also may be assigned to a school and teacher to assist with preparing and organizing materials and supplies for the upcoming school year.
