Welcome back to ALL High Achievers!!!

                          The High Achievers Program and Georgia College & State University celebrated the "Week of Welcome" from                                  August 21st to August 25th.   The High Achievers culminated the week by dining together at Zaxbys.

The High Achievers Program will be visiting Six Flags Over Georgia for Fright Fest 2023 on Friday the Thirteenth!

To celebrate Lights On Afterschool the High Achievers Program visited GCSU East Campus - Lake Laurel for a nature walk and for "critter fishing".  The activity was facilitated by GCSU Academic Outreach.  The kids had a ball and learned many fun facts!!!

The ALL understand the importance of supporting afterschool programs.  WE ARE FAMILY!!!

Congratulations to Kayden Johnson, Kingston Jenkins, and Jaylen Brantley for being an positively impactful GCEC student!  They are awesome High Achievers, as well!

Mrs. Cierra Williams, Real Estate Entrepreneur, visits the High Achievers and schools them on the real estate industry.

Mrs. Angie Woodham, Director of GCSU Continuing Education, visits the High Achievers and discussed career & educational choices and preparation.

The GCSU Academic Outreach group teaches the High Achievers about respiration.

Mr. Ray Allen, a global entrepreneur, in collaboration with the Georgia College African American Initiative for Males (AAIM), presented an engaging session to the participants regarding what success is, how to obtain success, and how to sustain success.

The High Achievers program participated in the 2023 Milledgeville Christmas Parade!

Mrs. Angela Criscoe, Executive Director of GCSU School of Continuing & Professional Studies addressed the group and focused on education, career choices, and preparation for the future.  She stressed the "I'll Do It" attitude when dealing with the apprehension of performing new, difficult tasks.  The group was well-engaged and enjoyed the time with Mrs. Criscoe. 

The GCSU Academic Outreach group conducted a session on the crystal structure of snowflakes.

2023 High Achiever Program Fellowship Dinner

Nancy Finney, Program Coordinator - GCSU School of Continuing & Professional Studies, visited the program and discussed her childhood and challenges she faced, her talents and hobbies, her educational background and career aspirations, and her experiences through her interstate and global travels.  She stressed the point about never giving up on your dreams and about remaining steadfast throughout obstacles and challenges.
