Special Issues Director - Krisha Marie Melchor

Krisha Marie is a senior at St. Charles High School. She has held the role of Class President for 3 years, and is currently the Student Liaison to the Board of Education for St. Charles. Outside of the council she occupies her time volunteering in her church, is a member of the SCHS Chapter of the National Honor Society, and plays volleyball.

Krisha Marie’s goal for the upcoming school year is to implement more culture identity activities for not only her school but for the whole county. She is looking forward to meet many new faces and to work closely with the council to make the school year successful. After High School, she plans on attending a 4-year College/university to study Nursing.

Deputy Special Issues Director - Faizaan Siddique

Faizaan Siddique is a Junior at Westlake High School, and currently serves as the Westlake Junior Class President, School Liaison to the Charles County Board of Education, as well as the Southern Divisional Liaison to the Maryland Association of Student Councils. Faizaan is also a part of the Westlake National Honor Society, Tennis team, and Mock Trial debate team.

Faizaan looks forward to representing his school at the Board of Education, as well as serving as a bridge to communication gaps within the county and state. He aims to ensure a productive and inclusive school year, and cannot wait to begin working with the rest of the officers to work towards a common goal.

Environmental Affairs Coordinator - Daniel "Danny" Mears

Daniel Mears is a sophomore at McDonough High School. He is currently serving as the class vice president for his second term and is an active member of his school’s SGA. Outside of student government, Daniel is very active in athletics playing soccer, tennis, and Unified Bocce. He is also a member of the It’s Academic Team, Spanish Club, and McDonough’s school spirit club, Ram Pride. Daniel is currently enrolled in Project Lead the Way and the CASE CTE program at McDonough.

Daniel is excited to make a difference in his community by serving on the SMOB advisory council. He also has an interest in protecting the environment. One of his goals this year is to improve the recycling program throughout Charles County Public Schools. In his free time Daniel loves to travel, hike, enjoy the outdoors, and spend time with his family and friends.

Diversity & Inclusion Coordinator - William Twyman IV

William Twyman IV is a senior at Thomas Stone High School. He is a devoted activist towards Anti-Gun Reform, Black Lives Matter, Women’s Equality, and LGBTQ+ Rights. Outside of the advisory council, he is a dedicated athlete to Thomas Stone’s Athletic department, being a member of Thomas Stone’s Varsity Swim, Cross Country, and Track teams. He also serves as Secretary of Thomas Stone’s chapter of the International Thespian Society.

This year as Charles County’s Diversity & Inclusion Coordinator he aspires to allow students of Charles County to recognize their county as a safe place for all people regardless of how their lives are lead. He would also like to provide outlets and points of contact to students who may desire, or need, extra help and support. After high school he would like to pursue a career in Sexology to assist the sexually abused in regaining their power beyond their unfortunate circumstances.

Mental Health Affairs Coordinator - Haley Arnold

Haley is a senior at Maurice J. McDonough High School. She is currently a member of her Student Governments General Assembly. Apart from her responsibilities within student government she is Captain of McDonough’s Varsity Softball team, McDonough’s Orchestral Concertmaster, and is the founder of a mental health newsletter titled “The High School Help”.

Haley has been personally inveigled to speak out for the mental health of our students. She experienced a moment of overwhelming anxiety due to lack of immediate mental health resources in her school. She is extremely passionate about preventing similar events for other students. She is excited to work with a community that recognizes the power of the student voice, and hopes that she can be a part in making sure every school in Charles County has a Mental Health Awareness Week this school year. Haley plans to pursue studies in Journalism and Psychology after high school.

Service Coordinator - Yasudee Scott

Yasudee is a Senior at Thomas Stone High School. She previously served as class secretary at Thomas Stone for the class of 2020. Yasudee is currently serving as Recording Secretary for Thomas Stone’s Student Government Association (SGA), as well as Vice President of Mentoring for Thomas Stone’s National Honor Society (NHS).

Yasudee is looking forward to getting others involved in giving back to the Charles County community. Serving as Service Coordinator, she hopes to bring awareness to the importance of being involved and serving as an aid to your community. After high school, Yasudee plans on attending a four-year University to study Biomedical Science.
