Winter Gnome

Supplies

Felt Cape, Needle, Bell, Gnome Beard, Green Thread (I am using a light thread so you can see it.), Wooden Gnome (not shown)

Cut a 12" Piece of thread and thread the needle. No need to knot the end.

Sew a dolphin stitch accross the drawn line on the felt.

Tie gnome beard around the neck of the wooden gnome

With beard in front, place gnome on felt.

Gather the stitching around the gnome neck and tie a bow. Make sure the berd is on the outside of the felt.

Thread another 12" of thread and tie a knot at the end. Start at the inside bottom edge of the cap.

Sew with a whip stitch going up to the point of the cap. A blanket stitch can be done here, if you wish.

Be sure to pull the stitches tight.

At the top thread the bell onto the needle do one stitch then make a knot.

Put the needle back through the hat and pull the thread through.

Clip thread tail close to the felt and the end will pull back in, hiding the end of the thread.

Now you have your little gnome!

I wonder what adventures he will have.
