Vision and Aims

At the heart of our vision is the belief that the spiritual, social, mental and physical development of every child is just as important as academic achievement.  We strive to nurture children to believe in themselves and honour our Christian values, ensuring they have the capacity to thrive and flourish throughout their lives.

Our school vision is rooted in the parable of the mustard seed:

Jesus once told a story about a tree that grew from the smallest of seeds. As it grew larger and larger, the birds of the air came and rested in its branches. (Matthew 13: 31-32)

It reminds us that great things grow from small beginningsAlthough we are all individuals, like the small mustard seeds, if we work together as a family we can grow and develop into something wonderful, like the tree.  It is important that our children are able to believe in themselves and the possibilities available to them, to learn by embracing challenge, questioning the world around them, reflecting and not being afraid to take risks so that they flourish as unique individuals and role models of the future.

We summarise our vision with the motto ‘Belong, Believe, Become

Belonging: to the school; to the community; to the wider world and to God’s family. Each person is encouraged and challenged to be the best they can be so they are well equipped for today’s modern world and that of the future; academically, socially and spiritually.

Believing: in ourselves and in each other. Although we each come together with different personal beliefs, through a shared understanding of the Christian values we equip children to think, develop their talents, act with imagination and respect based on a strong ethical foundation.

Becoming: well-rounded, confident individuals who achieve the best for themselves and for the society in which they live. Through our rich curriculum, we support and guide our children to flourish and reach their potential, both now and in the future.

To achieve our vision, we will provide a safe, inclusive, challenging and stimulating learning environment where everyone is valued and children thrive by:
