VISION STATEMENT
The City should encourage stewardship of the natural environment and seek to protect its open spaces, floodplains, creeks, and natural habitats to promote an environmentally conscious community and to preserve these valuable resources for future generations.

An implementation plan is the process of transitioning from the act of planning to application. To do this, the OURHometown Vision 2040 Comprehensive Plan used the goals and policies established in each section of the document to draft implementation strategies, which are the necessary steps to implementing the community's vision. Below is a list of the implementation strategies for this section. The timelines associated with these implementation strategies are intended to guide staff's progress, and create a system of accountability that will lead to measurable successes for the community.
