ecoEXPLORE  Program

in cooperation with the

NC Arboretum

A great offering for kids!

Young scientists and photographers, if you haven't signed up yet it is not too late.  You can sign up at http://www.ecoexplore.net/  or learn more about this citizen science Facebook-like media offering for helping kids learn about nature.  Or, get information at the front desk at the Library.

Marshall Native Gardens is a mega-HOTSPOT with 6 (SIX!!!) hot spots where you can take photos and earn extra points.  You can earn points with each photo you submit and accumulate points for some really cool prizes...including an IPOD for taking those spectacular photos.  If you have a Madison County Library card, you can also check out backpacks with cool tools and an IPOD.  Our HOTSPOT signs are clearly marked.  You can also pick up a map at the Library's check out desk which will guide you around the property.  The NC Arboretum sponsored the RAIN GARDEN is our newest hot spot.  There are tadpoles and other creatures to see.  Use the overhang deck and a selfie stick to get up close and personal to see what's going on!  The library has ecoEXPLORE back packs with supplies to help you participate -- These can be easily checked out with your library card at the front desk...
