North Devon
We walked the entire length of the North Devon coast on two very enjoyable holidays on the South West Coast Path, in April 2008 (when we walked from Minehead, in Somerset, over the county boundary and on to Westward Ho!) and just over a year later in May 2009 (when we walked from Westward Ho!, over the county boundary into Cornwall and on to Padstow). The area around the North Devon to Cornwall border, south of Hartland Quay was particularly memorable, since we were forced away from the coast by bad weather. However, we did get to the border and continued on to Bude, by taking a slightly more inland route for a while, and we returned later the same year to follow the coastal path for most of the route we'd diverted from previously.
