Knettishall Heath : where Angles Way meets Peddars Way meets Icknield Way

For some strange reason, the Angles Way finishes about a kilometre short of the start of the Peddars Way - so in order to complete the 227 mile round of the Peddars Way, Norfolk Coast Path, Weavers' Way and Angles Way, you need to wander from one end of Knettishall Heath Country Park to the other.

It's a most attractive place, with heathland, woodland and a riverside meadow, by the Little Ouse River. We visited on bank holiday Monday 30th May 2011.

We'd just got home from walking from Falmouth to Plymouth along the South West Coast Path, but were prevented from attempting the next 'proper' leg of the Angles Way because the buses we use in travelling from one end of a leg to the other don't run on Sundays and bank holidays. The weather was also rather threatening - however it turned warm and sunny for the hour or so we were at Knettishall Heath.

The 120-mile Icknield Way Path starts at Knettishall Heath too (opposite the Peddars Way). We walked that later in 2011.
