Briefly intrudoction of the changing process what was Mer Du Coree, today's Brougton Bay (TongjoseonMan東朝鮮湾）and how "Sea of Japan" has spread around the grobe.

From 17th Century and 18th century, on some maps they wrote those names Sea of Japan in the center or Japan side of coastal area and Sea of Corea nearby eastern coast of Korean Peinnsula.

After La Perouse confirmed Sea of Japan and Strait of Korea which devides East China Sea and Sea of Japan and WB Broughton navigated around East Coast of Corea, Mer Du Coree was started to describe today's Broughton Bay, TongJoseonMan(East Korean Gulf)

Just check it briefly the process how Broughton bay had been concreted on the charts. So it is proper that Korean should rename Tongjoseonman(East Korean gulf) into Tonghae(Broughton bay). It is no need to change the name of Sea of Japan.

So, that is to say, It is completely distorted claims by Korean from 1990's that the name of "Sea of Japan" is colonial and expansionism name and heritages. Those distorted Korean theory is just a political-oriented negative campaign toward Japan for money.
