UAF&FA

Within the Technical Committee, the Infrastructure Workgroup of The French-Speaking Airports (UAF&FA) brings together member airports of our association and technical experts as well. Building on the legacy of the organizations that preceded (UAF and AFACI), The French-Speaking Airports (UAF&FA) is a unique platform where airports from all around the world can share their experience under the umbrella of the French culture. With the presence of associated, non-airport members, UAF&FA facilitates the development of professional contacts and friendship between the stakeholders of the airport industry in order to enhance the efficiency of services to clients.

The Association of The French-Speaking Airports Associated with Airports Council International (Alfa-ACI) was a group of airports sharing the same language created in 1991 after Airports Council International (ACI) was born. The French-speaking airports had established connections since 1960 within the International Association of Civil Airports (ICAA). The main goals of the association are to study, share and propose common positions on the management, operations and promotion of the airports of the French-speaking community. Alfa-ACI became The French-Speaking Airports (Les Aéroports Francophones - AFACI) in December 2016.

The French Airports Association (UAF) was the professional organization of the French airports, regardless their size and specificities. Its main mission was to defend and promote the interests of the French airports community to the decision makers in France and in Europe. UAF was an associate member of the National Federation of Commercial Aviation (FNAM) and Airports Council International Europe (ACI Europe).

In November 2018, AFACI and UAF merged and became UAF&FA (The French-Speaking Airports). This association bring together the members of the two previous organizations and their respective missions and objectives.
