Welcome to the 2009 Men’s Track and Field Sectional Meet at Buffalo Grove High School. We are proud to host the sectional meet and wish all teams and competitors good luck in their efforts this evening. The meet will run according to the schedule listed with field events starting at 4:45p and track semis starting at 5:15p respectively. Finals will not begin before 6:30p and then normal meet flow will dictate meet speed.

Important Dates:

Tuesday—19 May 2009—all forms must be turned in on—line to the IHSA by 12:00p noon.

Wednesday—20 May 2009—seed meeting at Buffalo Grove High School in the Teacher’s Lounge 6:00pm (dinner) 6:15p (start meeting) Tim Falconer will be coordinating hy-tek and will have a meet program available for each team for the sectional meeting. Although attendance is not mandatory it is highly encouraged by the IHSA.

Friday—22 May 2009—Sectional Meet—Please let your parents know that there are several other activities going on during Friday so parking may be at a premium closer to the start of finals.

Friday—22 May 2009—at 4:30pm—15 minutes prior to the meet start there will be a mandatory head coach and team captain meeting at the 50 Yard line.

Parking and Camps: Bus Parking will be located in the basin parking lot north of the Track Stadium. We ask that all camps be set up on the west side of the track—outside the stadium—on the soccer practice fields.

Rules: IHSA rules will govern the meet.

Seeding/Entries: All entries must be submitted to the IHSA web site by Tuesday

May 19th 2009 by 12:00pm. The will be downloaded and put into hy-tek

format by Tim Falconer

Concessions: A concession stand will be run by Buffalo Grove High School and will

sell food and drink throughout the meet. Also, a Sectional T-Shirt will be sold

at the meet.

Work Assignments: As per the sectional seed meeting manual we will be asking for one

worker from each school to help run events. If it is possible we will try to limit

the need to have coaches work events. We request that the exchange zones be

judged by the Head Coach of the schools attending the meet. Assignments will be

given out at the seeding meeting.
