47th ANNUAL BOYS’ TRACK AND FIELD MEET-2008

DATE: Saturday, April 25, 2009

Participating Schools: Antioch, Glenbrook South, Grayslake North, Carmel Catholic, New Trier,

Zion and Riverside Brookfield, Christian Liberty Academy, Lake Forest

Time: Preliminaries – 10:00am Finals: 12 noon or 15 minutes following 200M semis.

Location: Lake Forest High School, 1285 N. McKinley Rd., Lake Forest

Awards: Team 1st, 2nd and 3rd place plaques. F/S Champion Award

Medals for the first six places in all varsity events will be awarded. Ribbons for F/S

Special awards for the following races:

1600 m run - The “Dick Olufs Lake Forest Invitational – Mile Champion” in honor of Dick Olufs’ many contributions to track at Lake Forest High School.

1600 m relay “John Davis Memorial” award will be presented to the 1600 Meter Relay Team

100 m dash “Finish Judge Award” in honor of Retired Coach Steve Freund.

Shot put “Coach “O” Award” in honor of Retired Coach Joe Occhipinti

110 H Hurdles “Coach “Pie” Award in honor of Retired Head Coach Larry Piemontese.

Scoring: 1st – 10, 2nd – 8, 3rd – 6, 4th – 4, 5th – 2, 6th – 1 in all events.

Eligibility: According to IHSA

Entry Limitations: IHSA Sectional rules will apply. Only two (2) boys from each school may compete in each individual event. All scratches should be made the morning of the meet. No Replacements will be accepted without a letter from the athletic director of your school indicating the reason. All competitors must compete only at either the Varsity or F/S level.

Order of Events: IHSA Sectional Rules will govern with exceptions as noted on the order of events sheet.

Dressing: Come Dressed. (There will be no access to the building)

Warmup & Only officials and immediate participants will be allowed on the track and infield. All others are

Camp Area asked to remain in the bleachers or the area WEST of the bleachers.

Spikes: Only a maximum of 1/4” spikes may be used in all events. No spikes for shot put/discus.

High Jump F/S first, followed by Varsity

Pole Vault F/S first, followed by Varsity

*9:45am Judges and Timers meet at the Finish Line.

*10:00am 4 Heats prelims 100M Dash

3 Heats Semis only 110 M Hurdles

3 Heats semis 100 M Dash

F/S 3200 M Run

3 Heats semis only 200 M Dash

In all Lane Events Above 6 qualify to the Finals-------------------------------

Three (3) Heats qualify 2 to Finals

Four (4) Heats qualify 3 to Semis

Two (2) Heats qualify 3 to Finals

Note: A 15 minute break will be taken after the 200M Semis. In all events below the F/S will run first.
