1. Decide on a target audience (besides the peer reviewer). If you are a policymaker, this could be your constituents or your colleagues. If you are a constituent, it could be the government. Or you could aim to develop an artifact (resource) that would engage and inform the general public in your country or city.

2. Topic: Propose a financing solution that will increase private and/or public finance for development in a country of your choosing (for Development Track participants: a fragile or conflict state or region) that uses the IDA PSW. Think about the key facts or ideas you wish to convey by answering the following questions:

  • What is the problem or issue that you are trying to solve?

  • What are the reasons that the government, official aid provider or private sector would want to participate?

  • What are the main obstacles currently standing in the way of unlocking financial opportunities? How would your solution overcome them? Consider the country context, if your proposal involves a specific country.

3. Once you have decided on the topic of your artifact determine the key facts or ideas you wish to convey. Reflect on what you have learned in this MOOC, as well as resources corresponding to topic. Consider statistics, details or other data that may need to be researched and incorporated to make the artifact compelling. If you are having trouble sourcing information, ask for help in the Discussion Forums.

4. Create your artifact (resource). To determine public accessibility, share the link with a few friends or others in the course so they can let you know if they are able to access it.

5. Write a short (100-word) explanation that describes your target audience and summarizes what you are trying to convey in your artifact (resource), and why.
