Rich Wagner FAIA

An AIA leader for more than 35 years at national, regional, and local levels, Richard L. Wagner (BAED UW 1972) has both initiated and implemented solutions for Institute organization, professional development, business leadership, and community building. 

He served on the boards of both AIA  Seattle and AIA Washington, and on the AIA national Board representing the AIA NW & Pacific Region.  With AIA Washington he helped advocate for policies affecting architectural practice.  His leadership facilitated the adaption of Washington's Growth Management Act, a state sales tax cut of 50% for architects' fees, the implementation of International Building Codes in Washington, and blockage of the expansion of architect liability and tort exposure.
