Durante la tarde del lunes, día 26 fuimos al río Huerva, uno de los tres ríos que pasan por nuestra ciudad, Zaragoza, para tomar unas muestras y analizarlas. Los análisis consisten en medir la cantidad de nitratos (NOx) y bacterias coliformes, que son aquellas que se encuentran en nuestro intestino, y cuya presencia en el agua hace sospechar que ha habido vertidos de aguas fecales sin depurar. El primer test lo realizamos allí, con unos resultados aceptables, pero para ver los resultados del segundo tendremos que esperar un tiempo, porque hemos tenido que hacer un cultivo de estas bacterias en el laboratorio. ¡Esperamos compartir pronto los resultados!
On Monday 26th afternoon, we went to Huerva river, one of the three rivers that go through our city, Zaragoza, to take a few water samples and analyze them. The analysis consists of measuring the nitrates (NOx) and the coliform bacteria, which are those who live in our intestines, and whose proliferation shows a problem of fecal pollution of water. The NOx analysis was carried out right there, whose results were acceptable. However, we will have to wait a while for the other one, because we had to make a bacterial culture in the laboratory. We hope we get the results soon, so we can share them with you!
