Harvard Classics Scholars-in-Training SUMMER

The Harvard Classics Scholars-in-Training Summer Program offers students scholarships to take a Classics course at Harvard Summer School. High school students may take an introductory course in Latin or ancient Greek, or a classical civilization course (Introduction to the Ancient Greek World). In addition to coursework, students will participate in research activities, as well as other community-building and networking events. Note that programming for high school students this year will be offered remotely. We especially welcome applications from members of groups historically underrepresented in the field of Classics and those who are interested in making contributions to access, inclusion, diversity, and outreach

The deadline for this year’s application has been extended by a week (to March 4), and further information about the program, including testimonials from former students, is available here: https://classics.fas.harvard.edu/dib-summer-programs. Students can access the application by creating a HarvardKey (https://key2.harvard.edu/register?appid=carat&return-url=https%3A%2F%2Fcarat.fas.harvard.edu) and searching “classics” in the CARAT application portal (https://carat.fas.harvard.edu/applicant/browse?type=U). Note that, as part of the application process, students are asked to list the names and contact information for two referees whom the selection committee may contact to provide a reference on their behalf.

For more information contact, Mr. Vega, avega@g.harvard.edu
