Captain paul annexstad

Captain Annexstad graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 1997 with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. He attended Officer Candidate School in Pensacola, Florida in 1998. After completion of flight school, Captain Annexstad was designated a Naval Aviator in June 2000 and assigned to fly the SH-60B Seahawk.  Captain Annexstad deployed in support of OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM and OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM with the USS CONSTELLATION Battle Group in USS FLETCHER (DD 992). In addition, Captain Annexstad embarked in USS OLDENDORF (DD 972), USS Kinkaid (DD-965) USS MUSTIN (DDG 89) and USS LASSEN (DDG 82) for various operations and exercises.

CAPT Annexstad’s shore duty assignments include: three tours as a Primary and Advanced Flight Instructor in the TH-57B/C and the T-6A Texan II, Deputy Branch head for Chief of Naval Personnel Strategic Affairs (OPNAV N1Z), Commanding Officer of Navy Reserve Center Quincy, Massachucettes, Chief of Staff of Navy Reserve Readiness and Mobilization Command, Great Lakes and Commanding Officer of Navy Reserve Center Great Lakes.

Captain Annexstad retired after 25 years of naval service and has earned the Legion of Merit, two Meritorious Service Medals, the Air Medal with one strike flight, two Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, and two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals along with various unit and campaign awards.  Captain Annexstad has a Masters Degree in National Security Strategy and Policy from National War College in Washington D.C.

Master chief daniel hackstein

Master Chief Dan Hackstein was born on 26 December 1963 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  He joined the Navy January 26th 1982 and completed Recruit Training in San Diego, Ca.

His duty assignments include: USS Gray (FF-1054); USS Schofield (FFG-3); Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, Illinois; USS Badger (FF-1071); USS Harold E. Holt (FF1074); Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, Illinois; USS Cleveland (LPD-7);  Recruit Training Command Great Lakes; Illinois and was hand selected as Command Master Chief (CMC) to stand up Naval Station Great Lakes as the first ever CMC. His awards include: Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (second award), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (third award), Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Navy ”E” (fourth award), Navy Good Conduct Medal (fifth award), National Defense Service Medal (second award), Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Sea Service Deployment ribbon (second award), Expert Rifle Medal.  Master Chief Hackstein has also earned the designation of Master Training Specialist and is a graduate on the Navy’s Senior Enlisted Academy (class 81).

Master Chief Hackstein retired from active-duty 30 June 2002 and entered the Navy Junior ROTC program as a Naval Science Instructor.  He spent a year and a half teaching at Whitney Young High School NJROTC in Chicago IL before joining Zion Benton’s NJROTC team.  He is the air rifle team coach and has won eight Navy National Championships, two Civilian Marksmanship National Championships (CMP) , two National Rifle Association (NRA) National Championships, two Junior Olympic championships, two American Legion National Championships and one US Army Junior National Championship. 

Master Chief Hackstein has two children Ryan and Melissa and two dogs Manday and Tank. He resides in Rochester, Wisconsin.


Chief vincent nelson

His duty assignments include: USS Independence CV69 Japan (1992-1996), NAF Atsugi Japan (1996-1999), USS Kitty Hawk CV63 Japan (1999-2003), RTC Great Lake, IL where he pushed ten Recruit Divisions and advanced to the pay grade of Chief Petty officer (2003-2006), USS Dwight D. Eisenhower CVN69 where he served as the Waist CAT LCPO Norfolk, VA. (2006-2009), RTC Great Lake, IL where he pushed ten divisions and one ODC division in Newport RI (2009- 2013). Chief Nelson retired from active duty 31 October 2013 and entered the Navy Junior ROTC program joining the Zion Benton NJROTC team.

Chief Nelson’s awards include: Three Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, three Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, seven Good Conduct medals, Armed Force Expeditionary Medal, National Defense Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Medal, Kuwait Liberation Medal, and various other unit and campaign awards.  Chief Nelson is qualified as an Enlisted Air Warfare Specialist and Surface Warfare Specialist. He is married with three children and currently resides in Zion, IL.
