See what I did there?
I wrote this entire course for "readable email."
Here are those Take-away's again...
Write with a 3-5th grade reading level
- I'll teach you how in a minute
Write with ONE CLEAR CALL TO ACTION (CTA) in each email
- If you only read the first sentence of every paragraph and the headings/bold you should get the gist of the email.
- Your photos are killing your credibility, and distracting your reader from the text.
- The exception to this rule is you can use images as illustrations.
STOP USING EXCLAMATION-POINTS!!!!!!!!! (But seriously . . . don't use them.)
These few principles will help you write emails that people will read and give their attention to.
This is what we are ultimately after--attention.
Moving to one Call To Action and lots of paragraph breaks makes writing emails simple. No longer do you have to worry about cramming 5 testimonies, your prayer requests, and a fundraising pitch into one email.
