When God called you to be a missionary...
He wasn't calling you to be in constant need.
As a Christian, you are to depend on God for everything.
You're called to be content in every circumstance. (See Paul's mindset in Phil. 4:12)
But, I'm pretty sure "Do I have to eat Ramen for the fifth night in a row?" isn't what God has in mind.
God wants to use you to transform the Nations.
He has bigger dreams for you than you have for yourself.
Maybe He's calling you to move overseas...
Maybe He's calling you to launch a new YWAM ministry from the ground up...
Maybe He's calling you to a restricted nation where you'll need a "cover business."
Do you give or tithe? To a church or to other missionaries?
Do you plan to have a family one day?
Guys -- wanna buy your lucky lady a beautiful engagement ring one day?
Will you need to do a secondary school for your calling?
What's my point?
This isn't meant to sound harsh but...
Believe that God wants to fund you completely...
... so that you can fully engage in what God has called you to.
So you can stay healthy.
So you can make bold ministry decisions that aren't held back by the -$10 in your bank account.
This means...
Granted, you might not get there by the time you arrive on staff.
You have 14 support raising days per year (plus your own free time) to keep it going.
Whatever amount you show up with, keep on toward your goal.
But it's worth it...
And not just for you... also for your supporters. (More on this later...)
