Band & Choir Concert

The winter Yough band and choir concerts took place on November 20, 2024. The first group to perform was the choir. They sang Let the Song Begin, A Medieval Fa La La, Long Ago, and If Ye Love Me. After this, the chamber choir performed Dona Nobis Pacem, Lo, How a Rose E’er Blooming, O Bella Fusa, Veni, Veni Emmanuel, Noel, and We Wish You a Merry Christmas. Amazing job to all these talented singers!
Next to perform was the jazz band. The songs they played were God Rest You Merry, Gentlemen, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, Joy to the World, and Kokomo. Soloists included Lizzy Olexic on tenor saxophone in Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, Hayden Cross on double bass in God Rest You Merry, Gentlemen, and Vinny Toscano in Kokomo. Congratulations to this group of musicians!
Last to perform was the concert band. They played Joy Revisited, O Magnum Mysterium, Jupiter, and The Christmas Song. Soloists include Josh Hall in O Magnum Mysterium, Lizzy Olexic in Joy Revisited, and Enzo Pernelli in Jupiter. Also, the concert band and choir did a combined song called A Christmas Festival.
Christmas Parades

Merry Christmas! The Yough Marching Band performed in the West Newton Christmas parade on November 30, 2024, and the Smithton Christmas parade on December 7, 2024. The song they performed was Up On the Housetop. Congratulations to this group of musicians.
PMEA Jr. District Band

Several students from our band participated in the PMEA District 1 East Band Festival on January 17th, 2025 at Mt. Pleasant High School. These students included Gillian Baloga (Clarinet), Hannah Baker (Flute), and Kaylee Hall (Clarinet), as well as several middle school students. Congratulations to these talented musicians for a great performance!
