Online course directory for grades 10-12:  See link on our home page.  Full year courses may be added within the first 2 weeks of school and dropped before the end of the 1st quarter, without notation on a student's transcript.

Use Classlink to access your student portal 

Set up to receive Text Reminds from YHS guidance.  Follow these steps: 1. Login to Remind through ClassLink on your Chromebooks first.  2. If it is the first time you login, you will receive a prompt to add your cell phone number. 3. You will receive a confirmation code to your phone.  4. Download the remind app and login.

College Planning: Visit the "Junior Year College Planning" tab on our website

Meet with your counselor starting in the winter (January/February) of your junior year to discuss your college and post secondary plans.   Topics covered will include the college search, Naviance, Common Application, application deadlines, the college essay and other topics related to your future plans.  Reach out to colleges to obtain the most updated information regarding changes in admissions requirements including, but not limited to, standardized testing SAT/ACT "test optional" and "score free" admissions,  tours and information sessions.

PSAT: It's digital!

Registration link is emailed to juniors in mid-September. Counselors will visit junior classes in the fall to discuss.  The PSAT is offered by The College Board once per year in October.  Results are posted to the College Board website in December.  Additional information distributed in junior classrooms in the fall.

Summer plans/activities:

Summer activities may include volunteering, shadowing a professional in the community, obtaining summer employment and/or a summer precollege course to explore interests.  Please note: these outside courses do not appear on your high school transcript.  For juniors, summer is also a good time to work on your college essay and applications.
