Mae'r cwrs newydd yma yn agor posibiliadau i ni gynnig y cwrs mewn sawl ffordd ar yr un amser i chi i gyd. Falle fydd rhai ohonoch chi am fynd lawr trywydd Echwaraeon, falle lawr y stryd o ddylunio ac yna cynhyrchu gem neu falle am ffocysu ar faes teledu a ffilm? Mae'r cwrs yma'n galluogi ni i weithio mewn ffyrdd cyffrous newydd.

Dilynir cwrs University Arts London (UAL). Mae'r Diploma yn cyfateb i 1.75 lefel A. Does dim cwrs tystysgrif sydd gyfwerth a lefel UG neu lefel A. Mae’r cwrs wedi’i ddosbarthu fel a ganlyn;

Pam astudio?

Byddwch yn dysgu amrywiaeth eang o sgiliau'r cyfryngau, gan gynnwys ffilmio, ysgrifennu sgriptiau, animeiddio, radio a chyfryngau print. Ar ôl cwblhau'n llwyddiannus, gallwch symud ymlaen i raddau israddedig mewn amrywiaeth eang o bynciau cyfryngau. Mae'r diwydiannau cyfryngau yn cynnig dewis o swyddi mewn meysydd fel ffilm, teledu, hysbysebu/marchnata rhaglennu a gemau.

Mae'r cymhwyster yn cynnwys wyth uned ac. Mae'r holl unedau'n ymwneud â'r sector cyfryngau creadigol, ac maent yn cael eu cyflwyno drwy ddysgu galwedigaethol.

Mae'r unedau'n canolbwyntio ar y sgiliau, y wybodaeth a'r ddealltwriaeth sy'n cefnogi pob gweithgarwch a thechnoleg cynhyrchu cyfryngau creadigol. Mae'r unedau wedi'u cynllunio i ganiatáu i ni fel ysgol ei chyflwyno mewn ffordd sy'n diwallu anghenion penodol ein dysgwyr, gan ystyried adnoddau'r ysgol (rydym wedi buddsoddi'n enfawr yn y pwnc yma ar gyfer mis Medi), y perthnasoedd â chyflogwyr creadigol lleol (e.e. Wales Interactive, COPA Gaming, Esports Wales) ac ymateb i natur gyflym y diwydiannau creadigol.

Sut fyddaf yn cael fy asesu?

Byddwch yn cael eich asesu trwy Brosiect Mawr Olaf (Final Major Project - set Uned 8) sy'n digwydd ar ddiwedd y cwrs pan fyddwch ar eich gorau. Mae'r prosiect mawr hwn yn caniatáu i chi ddangos yr holl ddysgu sydd wedi digwydd drwy gwblhau'r unedau eraill. Mae'r uned hon yn cael ei raddio yn Pas (Pass), Teilyngdod (Merit) neu Anrhydedd (Distinction) ac yn pennu'r radd derfynol. Pas = 2 x C, Teilyngdod = 2 x B ac Anrhydedd = 2 x A.

We follow The University Arts London (UAL) course. The Diploma is equivalent to two A levels. There is no certificate course that is equivalent to an AS or A level. The course is classified as follows;

Year 12 and part of year 13:

Seven compulsory units are completed:

• Unit 1 Introduction to processes and technical skills in the media

• Unit 2 Introduction to design and research skills in the field of creative media production

• Unit 3 Introduction to professional practice in the field of creative media production

• Unit 4 Critical and contextual awareness of production in creative media

• Unit 5 Investigate sound production and technology

• Unit 6 Investigate production and visual technology

• Unit 7 Investigate production and technology in interactive media

Year 13

• Unit 8 Development Creative media production (Final Major Project)

This new course opens up possibilities for us to offer the course in several ways at the same time to all of you. Maybe some of you will want to go down the Sports route, maybe down the street of designing and then producing a game or maybe focusing on television and film? This course enables us to work in exciting new ways.

Why Study?

You will learn a wide range of media skills, including filming, scriptwriting, animation, radio and print-based media. On successful completion you can progress onto undergraduate degrees in a wide range of media subjects. The media industries offer a selection of jobs in areas like film, TV, advertising and marketing.

The qualification is made up of eight units. All units relate to the creative media sector, all are delivered through vocational learning,

Core modules

The units focus on the skills, knowledge and understanding that support all creative media production and technology activity. The units have been designed to allow us to deliver them in a way that meets the specific needs of our students, taking into account the schools' resources, relationships with local creative employers and responding to the fast-paced nature of the creative industries.

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed via a Final Major Project which takes place at the end of the course when you are at your best. This large project allows you to demonstrate all the learning that has taken place through completion of the other units. This unit is graded Pass, Merit or Distinction and determines the overall qualification grade.
