Cewch chi ddewis testun prosiect DT2 a DT4. Gall hwn amrywio o waith dylunio cynnyrch i gemwaith. Fe fydd pob prosiect yn dilyn strwythur y broses ddylunio ac fe gewch chi ddangos eich creadigrwydd wrth ddylunio’r cynhyrchion yn ogystal â llunweddau’r ffolder.

Mae Dylunio a Thechnoleg yn un o’r pynciau STEM sy’n cyfrannu at brofiadau’r dysgwyr i allu datrys problemau go-iawn gan ystyried yr amgylchedd a gofynion y defnyddwyr

AS - Year 12 = DT 1+2

Total = 40%

A2 - Year 13 = DT 3+4

Total = 60%

Examinations

DT 1 (20%) 2 hours

DT 3 (30%) 2.5 hours

Coursework

DT 2 - Sketch/Scrapbook and an extended task (20%)

DT 4 – Sketchbook & main project (30%)

DT 2 – (20%) + DT 4 – (30%)

You may choose your own project title for DT2 and DT4. This could range from designing products including jewellery. Every project will follow the structure of the design process and you may show your creativity through designing both the products and the folder layout.

Design and Technology is an important STEM subject which can enhance the learners ability to problem solve whilst considering the needs of the user and the environmental impact of their design solutions.
