Reflecting on my Goals:

My goal was to learn new skills while being in the class I believe that I achieved this goal naturally while just completing work. I gained experience in the field of graphic design which was another goal of mine. I'm happy with how this semester went, If you would have told me at the beginning of the semester that this is where I would be right now I would have doubted you. I think that I learned a lot about graphic design and the different concepts of art. I've never considered myself to be good at art so I didn't walk into this class with high expectations. But just because I didn't have high expectations didn't mean that Ms. Sylvester didn't. She always wanted us to submit our best work and ideas to her. When we present our work she still talks about what we could have done better which helps after the fact to reflect on your work so you can learn from your losses. I think that I had a very successful time in graphic design.

Assignment that I'm most proud of:

I believe that my best piece of work was my digital landscape painting. I can credit this being my best work to the time that I put in outside of the class time given. I remember being stressed out going into this project thinking that it would take a month but we only had a week. I am most proud of this assignment because I used the concepts of graphic design well throughout the entire thing. There was no foreground and there was a lot of negative space in the bottom left so I filled it with a deer crossing the fall road. This filled multiple purposes. It filled the negative space and it helped the viewer's depth perception. I learned an unexpected skill while completing this project. I was struggling on finding a proper color for the trees. I went from them having no detail to them having to much detail. So when I asked for help Ms. Sylvester had the idea of doing a gradient, so throughout my conflict, I learned a new skill to add under my graphic designer belt. Overall I am most proud of this assignment because I think that it was my best work.
