Purpose:
To learn about the career of a visual effects artist;
To learn how mythology inspires a variety of designs;
To use Photoshop tools to alter and morph animals in a number of ways that build upon basic skills.
The First step that I did to make my look professional was using the quick selection tool and the mask to get a clean cut to make it look like it wasn't just a copy and paste. The next thing that occurred was taking advantage of the color correction tools to make my first animal's head a similar color to its new body. After my head and body looked like I had to blend the two using the clone stamp tool. I did this by bringing some of the hair from the moose and moving it closer to the lizard's head with a lower opacity. My last step was placing my new animal illusion into a new background and using the clone stamp tool to blend my animal into its new environment.
