Crude

The earth may seem

with its relentless heat

with its bitter cold

with it unexpected twists and turns

that disrupt the thing we consider peace

Unrelenting

mother nature may be

with her large waves

with her twisting and howling winds

with her deadly forests

where no one would hear a scream

A force to recon with

A deadly life force older than anyone to have ever walked the globe
